Pava Center
A Digital Hub for Founders, Programs & Possibility
The Pava Marie LaPere Center for Entrepreneurship provides support and resources to Johns Hopkins community members launching new ventures. They approached us about redesigning their website, which needed to function as a communications hub for a wide range of audiences, including current students, alumni, community partners, and prospective founders. The challenge was bringing clarity to a dense ecosystem of programs, funding opportunities, ventures, and events, all within a structure that felt intuitive, discoverable, and flexible.

WHAT WE DID
When in Doubt, Follow the Data
We grounded the site strategy in GA4 insights, SEO analysis, and competitor benchmarking to understand how users were already engaging. High exploration across programs and events indicated strong interest at the top of the funnel, while lower conversion revealed opportunities to improve visibility, urgency, and calls to action. This insight shaped how we approached navigation and homepage structure—elevating high-interest content like programming, funding, and key initiatives.

Browse Like a Boss
You can see our strategy at work in the ventures and projects page. Visitors have the option to browse by year, industry, program, or school, or search by keyword, with visual tags that give meaningful information at a glance. Under the hood, the site is optimized for long-term performance, with keyword-rich metadata, clean URL structures, structured data and schema mark-ups, and internal linking across programs, funding, and applications.
