Mission’s very own Sean Brescia and team oversaw all aspects of production—from technical design, to build, to installation, to doors open— of this multi-million dollar interactive entertainment experience in partnership with creator/promoter Victory Hill Exhibitions under license and collaboration with Marvel Entertainment. In the face of the added challenges of completing a six to eight month build and installation within a four month timeline, and transferring a 45,000 square foot Los Angeles build shop into a fleet of 14 tractor trailers and ultimately a fully operational attraction in the heart of Times Square, we successfully launched one of the most technologically advanced interactive environments ever seen.
With over 10,000 square feet of exhibits, 140 video screens, dozens of large scale touch interfaces, state-of-the-art projection technology, working robotics, eye and brain tracking hardware, augmented reality and motion response applications, and life-sized 3D character recreations, visitors found themselves transported into an active, high-tech realization of the AVENGERS universe. Based on the science behind the super heroes, subject-matter contributors included NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, NeuroVerse and a list of university and institutional researchers.
