We’re never normal. And we like it that way.
The first few months of 2020 have been nothing short of bizarre. We’re all WFH, surrounded by adopted office plants, and missing the way a certain Account Strategist used to fire up the first pot of communal coffee every morning. But with our routines uprooted, our basic mechanics have come into focus. We’ve gotten an enlightening reminder: our ability to adapt (and thrive) as a team is our most valuable asset. It’s resilience, and although we often forget about this cornerstone of creative survival, it’s nothing new for Mission.
As creators and strategists, we’re well-acclimated to fluctuations, uncertainty (2020 buzzword!), and chaos. Although it keeps our Project Management team on their toes, we embrace impermanence—now, then, and always—because change means new challenges, new partnerships, and new ideas. Adapting means learning, and our willingness to learn is our greatest strength (it keeps us humble too). Paradigm shifts are paramount to our creativity.
While the world scrambles to define a new normal, we’re celebrating our fluidity, our resilience, and our relationships. We’ve been strategizing with our partners, exploring new angles, and discovering better ways to help. For us, there is no normal. We’re never normal. And we like it that way.
